Adobe Creative Suite: We have desktop licenses of Adobe CC on the walker management library computers (near the service desk; unfortunately, not available via cloud - you have to be at the workstation). You'll need to create an Adobe CC account and use it to log in (after you log in to the workstation with vunetid). There are some tutorials within the application that can help you get started. Beyond that, a few other options for Adobe and many other technical skills development:
-
O'reilley platform (via lib website): offers courses and books on applications - including several on Adobe CC apps.
-
Linkedin Learning (via Nashville Public Library): you'll need a NPL library account/card/login (free) - lots of tutorials on software there.
Aside from Adobe, you might be interested in comparable tools like Figma and Canva which can offer lower learning curves; both of which are also covered in the training sources above:
-
Figma - https://www.figma.com/education/ - fast replacing Adobe as industry standard, and best part: professional tier is free to students in higher ed (web or desktop options).
-
Canva - https://www.canva.com/ - free version (unfortunately Vanderbilt does not have a institutional license for the pro level for students as far as we know but feel free to check with your program advisors).
In addition to Adobe Creative Suite, the management library offers training on data vizualizations using appls like Tableau and Power BI. Check out past and up-coming workshops here.
