When a patron recalls a book, the current book holder is given a 7-day notice to return the book. Generally, most patrons will bring the book back within 7 days.
When a book is checked-out for a longer loan period, another option is to request the checked-out title through interlibrary loan (ILL). Often you will get the title through ILL as quickly as you might from having someone return the book.
When you Sign in to recall the book, you'll see the option to request the title through ILL in addition to Recall. Choose either option to get a copy of the book.
