What happened to Acorn?

In July 2018, the Vanderbilt Libraries moved from DiscoverLibrary and Acorn to an entirely revamped digital footprint including a new Integrated Library System (the Library Catalog search and back-end operations), as well as a new library web presence, and improved course reading list software. These changes were based on input and feedback from students and faculty.

The VU Collections search option will allow you to search items that are held here at Vanderbilt Libraries or the same collections Acorn provided access to. Check out this What Am I Searching guide for a breakdown of the various Library Catalog searches.

Training dates for our new search system are listed on the Training Calendar.
