What does it mean when I see that a book is in "Holds" in the Acorn Catalog?

Answer

When ACORN shows a book has HOLDS, that means that a book that is currently checked out has been recalled by one or more other patrons. You are also welcome to request to use the book after others by using the recall button.

Another option that may prove faster is to request a copy of the book through InterLibrary Loan.
