Answer

Vanderbilt's Central Library has past issues of the Tennessean in its Government Information and Media Center. It is in on the 4th floor of the Central Library on Microfilm 2000 from 1972 through mid September of 2010 and (under the earlier title of Nashville Tennessean) from 1940-1972.  The electronic version is available via ProQuest from Jan 2003 to the present. Patrons can also access the past week's issues online from within the library and off campus with their VUnetid and password.

The online version is linked under the title on ACORN, our online catalog, and also linked under e-journal locator on our library homepage.  If you have a use card for the Nashville Public Library, they  also have it online from 1999 on  http://www.library.nashville.org/research/res_databases.asp#newspapers.

The public and state libraries have earlier years (under its various titles) on microfilm (e.g., Nashville Evening Tenn 1920 and on).
